World Environment Day Clebration 2011
WED celebration began in 1972 and has grown to become the one of the main vehicles through which the UN stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and encourages political attention and action. A programme of natural disaster movies is being held at the BHD Star Cinema in HCM City to mark the World Environment Day on June 5.
What better way to highlight the fragility of our environment than through these stunning films? This leads some to action—be it personal or political—and many to wonder why this reflection is absent from the majority of the other 364 days of the year.
