Candidates, interested may observe details about JRF and its relevant qualification under following paragraphs: -
Name of post: - Junior Research Fellow
No. of posts: - 150; out which 120 fellowship will be given in Life Science as: – Microbiology, Physiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Human Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Immunology, Pharmacology, Zoology, Environmental Sciences, Botany, Veterinary Science) and rest of 30 Fellowship will be awarded in Social Sciences like: Psychology, Sociology, Home Science, Statistics, Anthropology, Social Work and Health Economics.
Educational Qualification: – Candidates should have done M.Sc/M.A with 55% marks from recognized university. However, 5% marks rebate would be given to the candidates of SC/ST and Physically Challenged Persons.
Age Limitations: - Candidates should not be older than 28 yrs as on 30.09.2011.
Age Relaxation: - Candidates of SC/ST/PH/Female Categories will get 5 yrs. Age extension in upper age and OBC candidates may get 3 yrs. Relaxation in max age.
Application Fee: - Rs.500/- for UR and OBC candidates, Rs.300/- for SC/ST/PH candidates.
Selection Methodology: – Candidates would be selected on the basis of written examination. The written examination is due on 17th July 2011 at various centers all over.
Note: - However, application form is available on site of PGIMER and ICMR; candidates may download format of application on the site and apply along with appropriate amount in form of Demand Draft. The Demand Draft would be drawn in favour of “Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh” from any of branch of SBI.
How to apply: – Candidates interested may apply only in prescribed format of application along with substantial amount of application fee. Fully furnished application should be reach at address of “The Registrar, PGIMER, Chandigarh-160012 by registered / speed post before 17th May 2011. Candidates of remote area may send their application by 21.05.2011.
