On Tuesday,The World Liver Day,the experts in Liver Transplantation or the Doctors who are expert in Liver Transplantation said that anyone he/she can donate his/her liver to any one during the treatment of the Hepatitis B.Means any one who suffered by Hepatitis B also donate their Livers to the other people without any problem.
"When a person has no evidence of active infection and has been completely cured of the disease, he can donate the organ after death," said Dr S Vivekanandan of Global Hospitals.
Dr Anand Khakhar, senior consultant liver transplant surgeon at Apollo Hospitals, said there was a 4% chance of the recipient contracting hepatitis B from the donor's liver. "This has been determined by randomised trials and these are accepted norms across the world," he said.
There is no infection problem after receiving liver from Hepatitis B patient.Doctors said that there is a low probability of recipients of the liver from Hepatitis B patient.
