A very good news for the women because the Orissa government has made 50% reservation for women in Panchayat Raj institutions.It is just only to achieve gender equality in the representation in panchyat raj bodies in a very clear manner for everyone.
And hence The state legislature gave its pbobes to the Orissa Panchayat Laws,which is amending the laws by amending the Orissa Gram Panchayat Act, 1964,These are the Orissa Panchayat Samitee Act and the Orissa Zilla Parishad Act which are more encourages everyone for enhancing women.So,by this Law this bill included reservation of seats for two person instead of the one because one neither attract more as compare to two candidates attraction.
Therefore,The state government take action to withdraw the proposed amendment in the Orissa Gram Panchayat Act, 1964.This is the 13th Finance Commission having some pre-conditions which are fulfilled by the state government.Thi is only for release of grant or to leave.And the Panchayat would be enabled to levy property tax for all types of residential and commercial property on the citizens to pay for it.
